Starting at a young age Kane had always been building; tree forts with friends, go karts, furniture and even small businesses to earn money. In high school Kane stepped into his ﬁrst shop class and that was when he gained a great passion for woodworking. At the age of 15 he got his ﬁrst construction job framing houses which started his construction career. His passion for woodworking continues to this day and it shows in the craftsmanship of his work.
Growing up Kane learned the value of hard work from his mother and father who owned several businesses in the food industry. They showed him the balance between running a business and raising a family.
In 2017 something great was going to happen, he was expecting a son. Knowing he was going to be a father he wanted to be able to teach his children the value in doing what you love and what you’re passionate about. It had always been a goal of his to own a business to provide a solid foundation for his family and express his talents on a larger scale.
After many years of experience in the construction industry Kane ﬁnally took a great leap and pursued his passion to start Kaner Contracting.
Harold Wachter is a dedicated professional who brings a wide range of experience to his work with Kaner Contracting. His decades of experience in customer service and management have given him the skills to make sure that the job gets done right and the customer receives the best outcome. Harold learned the importance of discipline, teamwork, and communication early in his career working as a Marine Electrician with the Canadian Armed Forces Naval Division. These traits served him well through work that includes extensive sales experience, management, and even owning his own businesses.
As a Building Contractor with Ontario Ltd. Co., Harold demonstrated the expertise and dependability that his clients today have come to expect from Kaner Contracting.
Beyond his construction background, Harold’s foundation in leadership within various industries has helped him to develop winning strategies for success regardless of the task. He takes pride in his work and strives to give his customers the very best.
When he isn’t hard at work, Harold enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family — two things he is extremely passionate about.
As a reliable Carpenter, Steve has used his involvement, dedication and over 20 years experience in the trades to hone his skills to cover a wide range of tasks.
Steve was mentored from a long line of craftsmen and entrepreneurs who taught him the value of hard work and ingrained him with a sense that isn’t to merely perform the craft trade but rather to strive to do it better.
As a father of 3 and married for over 17 years, Steve brings loyalty and commitment to the Kaner contracting team
Theron started his construction career as a cabinet maker apprentice in a family owned and operated cabinet shop, were passion for people and integrity are a staple to business.
After years of cabinet making, installation and custom woodworking, Theron joined the Kaner contracting team in 2019.
He is a devoted father of three who spends his spare time working on his hobby farm or hanging out with his friends and family.
Zach started in construction at 17 doing drywall work and painting. One year later he went on to installing and polishing granite counter tops and eventually moved on to working for a production home builder.
After high school and into his early 20’s He gained a variety of skills in all aspects of residential construction which has been a stepping stone for his future career in custom home building.
In 2019 he joined Kaner Contracting where he has been able to master his skills in framing, finishing, and management.
Zach’s spare time is spent watching/playing sports and enjoying himself with friends and family
